Harlow man set to stand trial on GBH and possession of a machete

A HARLOW man is set to stand trial accused of grevious bodily harm and being in possession of a machete.

Connor Shand, aged 27, of Hare Street Springs, Harlow has been charged with the following.

On 08/02/2020 at Harlow attempted to unlawfully and maliciously wound another with intent to do him grievous bodily harm.

On 08/02/2020 at Harlow without lawful authority or reasonable excuse, had with you in a public place, namely Pennymead, an offensive weapon, namely a machete

Between 08/02/2020 and 08/02/2020 at Harlow sent to a female an electronic communication, namely a telephone call which conveyed a threat for the purpose of causing distress or anxiety to the recipient or to any other person to whom you intended that it or its contents or nature should be communicated.

On 08/02/2020 at Harlow without lawful excuse, damaged a bike to the value of 50 pounds and a pair of trainers to the value of 35 pounds belonging to another intending to destroy or damage such property or being reckless as to whether such property would be destroyed or damaged.

A trial date of March 9th at Chelmsford Crown Court has been set.

Shand has been remanded in custody.
