A man has appeared in court today, Monday, April 10, charged with rape of a child aged under 13 and four offences under the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
Officers executed a warrant at a car wash in Bower Hill, Epping, on Friday, April 7, following information passed to them and the community safety partnership from local residents.
Following the warrant four Romanian children have been safeguarded and Catalin-Florin Buica, 24, of Pennymead, Harlow, was arrested.
He was later charged and appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court today where he was remanded until a future date.
