ESSEX Police are investigating a serious assault after a woman was attacked with a metal pole.
A police spokesperson said: “We received reports that a woman had been assaulted on Hare Street in Harlow, shortly after 2.30pm today, Monday, December 11.
“A group of men approached the women and one of the men assaulted her with what was believed to be a metal pole.
The men, who were described as being in their late teens and early twenties, ran-off in the direction Harbets Road and the Harvey Centre.
Investigations are currently ongoing and we have put extra officer patrols in place in the area.
Witnesses or anyone with information about the incident are asked to call Harlow police station on 101, quoting incident 514 of November 11.
