A MAN is set to stand trial over the possession of a semi-automatic rifle.
Sean Harthill, aged 25, of Downhall Road has been charged with the following.
On 15/10/2018 at Harlow had in your possession a firearm namely Armi Jaeger Loano Italy AP74 semi automatic rifle .22 calibre to which section 1 of the Firearms Act 1968 applied without holding a firearm certificate in force at the time.
Harthill has been remanded in custody.
His next appearance at Chelmsford magistrates court will be on October 22nd.
He pleads not guilty.
