A dispersal order has been put in place in Harlow from 6pm today, Friday, October 26, in response to a planned car cruise.

It will run until 6am tomorrow, Saturday, October 27, following concerns there may be anti-social behaviour, including loud music and dangerous and erratic driving, at an event due to take place at Oaks Retail Park in Howard Way.

It gives our officers the power to order people causing anti-social behaviour to leave the area.

It is a criminal offence to breach a direction given under the order and in the worst cases this can result in a criminal conviction punishable by up to six months imprisonment or a fine of up to £5,000.

Inspector Tim Sanders, of Harlow’s Community Policing Team, said: “The order has been put in place in response to concerns that there may be a large number of vehicles and anti-social behaviour.

“We will be patrolling the area to address any issues that arise and we encourage residents to report any issues to us as soon as possible.”
The dispersal order covers the area shown in the map attached.
