A HARLOW man has been jailed for three months for threatening a woman and her child.
Connor Didham, aged 26, of Tithelands, Harlow pleaded guilty to the following.
On 31/08/2019 and 07/09/2019 at Harlow sent to a woman an electronic communication, namely text message, which was, in whole or part, of an indecent or grossly offensive nature for the purpose of causing distress or anxiety to the recipient or to any other person to whom you intended that it or its contents or nature should be communicated.
Between 31/08/2019 and 07/09/2019 at Harlow pursued a course of conduct which amounted to the harassment of a female and which you knew or ought to have known amounted to the harassment of her in that you sent 241 messages and 6 WhatsApp calls on 31/08/2019 and on 07/09/2019 sent 305 messages and 21 calls on Whatsapp and 103 phone calls.
Didham was jailed for three months. The reason given by the courts was due to the serious nature of offences: malicious communications to a woman, threats to her, including her young child.
He was also made subject to a restraining order and fined £122.00.
Whilst on bail he also assaulted a taxi driver.
